Create a location
Draw a geofence on the map, as a polygon or a circle, and give it a name. Campaigns fire when a phone crosses it.

Shape rules#
| Shape | Rule |
|---|---|
| Circle | Radius 50 to 1,000 m (the slider starts at 150 m). |
| Polygon | At least 3 points and up to 99, with edges that don't cross. |
If a shape breaks a rule, the form says what to fix, for example "The shape crosses over itself. Redraw it so the edges don't cross."
Edit a location#
Open the location and click Edit. You can rename it, switch its shape, or redraw it, then click Save changes. View activity → goes back to its inspector. Every campaign using the location picks up the new shape.
Allow for GPS driftPhones can be tens of metres out in dense city centres. For a single shop, draw the geofence a little larger than the building so people are caught as they arrive (a circle of 100 to 200 m usually works), and avoid overlapping neighbouring geofences.
