Active users

See the devices that have been active in the workspace, find one phone by its install ID or push token, send it a test push and export the list.

On the Dashboard, click the Active users card. The Active users drawer opens: "Devices with geofence activity in the selected period."

The overview#

Choose the period with 24h, 7 days, 30 days or 90 days. The drawer shows the active devices and their trend, Billable this month (with the devices that don't count, such as test devices and the Showcase app), and the device mix: Platform, Notifications (how many have a push token), OS version, SDK version and Top countries.

Find one device#

  1. 1
    Search
Click the search box, or press /, and type at least three characters of an install ID, push token or user ID. One match opens the device straight away; several show a list.
  2. 2
    Read the device
The device card shows its model, when it was last seen, OS, App · SDK, Country, Notifications, External user ID and First seen, then its Recent activity: its latest eight events, such as geofence entries and exits, app opens, notification events, deliveries and your app's own custom events (shown as custom. and the event's name).
  3. 3
    Send a test push
Click Send test push. It goes through your own push credentials for the device's platform; the button is disabled if the device has no push token, and in a Sandbox workspace it's disabled for marketers, since only owners, admins and developers can send test pushes there. Copy install ID copies its install ID.

Export#

Click Export CSV to download the devices active in the chosen period, with their install ID, platform, OS, model, app, SDK version, country, language, whether push is enabled, and when they were first and last active.

Test push not arriving? If the test push fails, the drawer says why, for example no credentials for the device's platform. Check Firebase for Android and Apple Push for iOS. A token Firebase or Apple rejects is cleared, and the device stops counting as push-enabled until the app sends a new one.
