Create a Location Based Campaign

A Geolocation Campaign triggers notifications based on where users physically are. When a user's device crosses one a geofence, Bubbl fires the relevant notification, whether that's the moment they arrive, or as they leave.

Press Create Campaign to get started and select Geolocation Campaign

Campaign Setup

  1. Give your campaign a clear, recognisable name (e.g., "Summer Festival - July 2024").This is for your internal tracking only and won't be seen by users.

  2. Choose an existing Location or a Location Group. If you don’t see your location, click Create Single Location to map out a new geofence on the fly.

  3. Set you campaign duration.

  4. Choose who should see this campaign. Use segmentation tags to target specific groups (e.g., "Loyalty Members" or "New Users"). Leave it blank to target all devices.

Attach Notifications

  1. Press Manage Notification or Manage Surveys to add notifications to your campaign.
  2. Follow the on screen instructions to make your selection.

Notification Behaviour

  1. Set your notification timing. Choose whether each notification fires at a fixed time or at a specific time while the user is within your geofence. The notification's time window must fall within your overall campaign duration.

  2. Decide the exact moment your message should appear:

On Entry: Triggers the second a user steps into your Geofence. (Great for "Welcome" messages).

On Exit: Triggers when users leave the area. (Great for "Thank you" or "Visit again" messages).

Repeat steps 5 to 8 until you have added all your notifications to your campaign.

Activate Your Campaign

  1. The campaign table confirms your selection and choices for each notification. If you spot an error you can make a change via the action button.

  2. When you are ready to deploy your campaign push the play icon at the top of the page.

Warning Important: Geofence Limits Across Campaigns

Mobile Operating System restrictions apply to the total number of active geofences across all campaigns. Click Manage Geofence Limits for more details.
